1 large package cream cheese
1/2 cup commercial sour cream
1/2 cup cottage cheese
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Have cheese at room temperature. Cut into cubes. Process everything together in the blender until smooth. For us with flavoured crackers or a base for other appetizers.
Cheese Spread
1/4 lb Roquefort cheese
1 large and 1 small package cream cheese
1 tsp. dry mustard
1 heaping tablespoon butter (not margarine)
1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
1 clove of very finely minced garlic
Dash of pepper
1/2 cup half and half or other light cream
Mix in blender till smooth.
Layered Dip
2 large packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup commercial sour cream
1/2 teaspoon Tobasco sauce
milk
1 clove finely minced garlic
1 large sweet red pepper, seeded and diced
1 large green pepper, seeded and diced
1 cup diced, fresh, firm tomato
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
5 little green onions with tails, very thinly sliced
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
In a blender, or by hand, mix the cream cheese and Tobasco with the sour cream. Mixture should blend to a thick cream consistency. If too thick add a wee bit of milk to help smooth it out. Scrape cheese mixture into a 9" X 13" baking dish. Smooth out evenly over the dish. Mix all the remaining ingredients together and spread evenly over the cheese mixture. Chill until ready to serve. Use as a dip for Tostidos, Nachoes, Crackers etc.
Shrimp Dip
1 large package cream cheese, softened
5 oz can salad shrimp, drained and chopped
3 tablespoons seafood sauce
4 tablespoons milk
Beat cheese with the milk, add other ingredients and mix well.
Nins Waldorf Dip
2 large packages of cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup chopped raisins
1/2 cup chopped apples with skin
Beat the cheese and mayonnaise together until smooth and fluffy. Fold in the other ingredients.
Use as a dip for plain, unflavoured crakers or spoon onto cucumber rings.
Liverwurst Spread
1 small package cream cheese, softened
1 cup fine liverwurst
1 small finely minced onion
1 clove finely minced garlic
Blend in blender till smooth. Chill well and use as a spread or dip for crackers or toast points.
Hot Spicy Dip
1 cup Cheese Whiz
1 cup commercial Sour cream
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 sweet red pepper chopped
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
couple drops Tobasco
In a microwave bowl, melt the Cheese Whiz. Quickly beat in the sour cream, then the cheddar cheese and then all the other ingredients. If you are serving it at room temperature then you're done. Leave it sit covered, at room temperature. If serving hot, then return to microwave for 1 minute, mix well and serve immediately. This dip can't sit too long before serving or it gets too hard to dip.
NOTES: can be spread on crackers and served as an appetizer.
Fruit Dip
1 cup Eagle Brand Condensed Milk
1 cup sour cream
1 large package cream cheese
juice and zest from one lime
Beat well by hand or in blender. Serve with slices of fruit. Sinfully good!
WOW! Hot Dip
1 cup hot salsa
1 cup Cheese Whiz
1 large package cream cheese, cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
In a microwave bowl melt the Cheese Whiz and the Cream cheese together. Mix well. Beat in the salsa and the pepper flakes. Serve hot or cold.
Pineapple Spread
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries, well drained
1 large package cream cheese, softened
Mix in blender till smooth. Serve on plain crackers.
Radish Spread
1 cup finely chopped radish
1 finely minced shallot
1 clove finely minced garlic
1/3 cup Kraft Miracle Whip
Mix together well and chill for atleast an hour to let flavours meld. Serve on veggie slices or crackers.
Yapple Dip
1 large package cream cheese softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1 cup finely chopped apple
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
Beat the sour cream and cheese together till smooth. Fold in the apple and onion.
Eggs 'n Things
6 hard boiled eggs, chopped
1 little green onion, chopped with tail
1 regular size dill pickle, chopped and left on paper towel to dry
1 cup of chopped cucumber
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teapoon pepper
1/3 cup Kraft Miracle Whip
Mix together well and serve immediately with crackers, veggies or in lettuce cups.
Fresh Zucca Dip
2 cups freshly chopped tomatoes
2 cups chopped, fresh, small zucchini with skin left on
1 sweet red pepper, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1 small onion, chopped
3 cloves finely minced garlic
juice and zest of 1 lemon
juice and zest of 1 lime
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup sour cream or more
Mix together well in a bowl. Cover and leave overnight in the fridge. Just before serving, drain the juices off and mix in 1 cup of commercially prepared sour cream (use more or less to your taste). Serve with Nacho chips.
Chili Dip
One large pkg. Cream cheese1 large green pepper, chopped
1 can of chili
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Tortilla chips
Spread one large package of Cream Cheese into a pie pan. Spread the chili over the cream cheese evenly. Sprinkle on the chopped green peppers, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top. Microwave until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve with tortilla chips.
Almond Fruit Dip
1 pkg cream cheese1 small jar marshmallow creme
1 tsp almond extract
Mix all the above together and serve with fruit or cubes of cake for dipping.
Amaretto Fruit Dip
1-4 oz pkg vanilla instant pudding1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. amaretto, less if you don't want it as strong
Beat these all together to pudding consistency. Then fold in 1-8 oz container of cool whip. Chill. Use pieces of fruit or angel cake to dip into it. Really, really good.
